A concert with Dartmoor musicians

A music evening with two renowned musicians who live and work amid Dartmoor’s wild and ancient hills. Nigel and Carolyn have been composing and performing music together for 25 years, travelling widely with their work, including to Japan, Siberia, Canada, Israel, Central America and throughout Europe. They will share a concert that encompasses the full range of their music from delicate flute prayers to soul-filled laments to ancient earth songs to celebratory dance rhythms, playing many of the traditional flutes, whistles, drums and rattles that they make themselves. Featuring music from the recent album BONES, which includes lyrics carved from a Bronze Age mother tongue to honour the remembered forest, the wounds of winter and the powerful resonances inside the ancestral House of Spirits. This concert will also mark the 25th anniversary of Nigel’s classic album THE RIVER, which is newly released as a special edition in 2017.
